I am pleased the legislation is taking this opportunity to affirm Audiologists as the professionals they are- health care providers who can both diagnose and treat hearing disorders. The current law requiring Audiologists to obtain both Audiology licensure and a separate hearing aid license is demeaning, and would be analogous to requiring a dentist to receive special licensure before filling a cavity.
