OPPOSE Dry Needling for ATCs

It's just not safe. I'm just a patient of an acupuncturist here -- and I happen to be an athlete as well. When my practitioner sent this link, I couldn't believe it!  I would never allow an unlicensed, untrained ATC to use needles on me! Please do not allow this to happen in Virginia.

Extensive training, a degree, certification and license should be necessary. This is what acupuncturists must go through. And even Doctor's of PT's must have an EXTRA 300-hour or more training in Dry needling.

Please be cognizant of the risks to the patients, clients and to the general public! The ATC's just want a quick "add-on" service.

When things are rushed through like this, it's always about profit. Please put safety first! And if ATC's want to go back to school and go through the proper channels, that's awesome! They are more than welcome.

Thanks!
