Finalizing rules when a (LRI) is the paid aide/attendant for the personal care service

My child has unpredictable medical emergencies. Filing documentation was another bureaucratic hurdle when we needed fast and flexible care, not more paperwork. Compiling the Objective Written Documentation cost us precious time. While we focused on paperwork, my daughter missed crucial opportunities for development. Being my son’s primary caregiver, I already feel isolated. Adding this documentation requirement makes it even harder to focus on giving him the attention he needs. The documentation process felt like I was constantly justifying my child’s needs. It’s emotionally draining, and any return to that would create unnecessary barriers for our family. No amount of paperwork can replace a parent's instinct and experience in caring for their child. Making us jump through hoops only wastes time that could be spent on quality care.
