As a tax-paying resident of Virginia, I am opposed to the TRAP regulations which will require women's health centers to meet new, burdensome requirements that are not medically necessary. By implementing these unnecessary rules, access for many women will be reduced or denied to important health services, such as cancer screenings.
Low cost medical screenings, such as those offered in women's health centers, save lives. Further, they reduce the overall cost of healthcare as many diseases can be treated in their earliest stages. Preventing the spread of disease is also an important concern. Please do not restrict access through these misdirected and medically unnecessary requirements.
