Oppose GPS regulation

I oppose. Those hunters that can afford this type of device have already obtained them. These devices require updates, and replacement as new technology comes out. All of this requires another large expenditure. A computer is required for this and that means that reception of a signal is also required. This is a problem even where I hunt in Brunswick County.

This device will not stop dogs from going onto property that is posted as they will continue to trail the game they are pursuing. A dog cannot read a posted sign. A hunter cannot shock the animal off the desired game to discontinue the chase as this will in effect train the dog to no longer pursue this game. So, this regulation is in essence a smoke screen to achieve the desired result of ending dog hunting.

I strongly oppose.
