Thoughts

This is tricky as part of what we are looking at relates to history. and history cannot be erased. Even when it is a painful piece of history. Regardless of what is done now, it will not make up for what happened or the pain slavery caused. On one hand, this could be beneficial if certain localities (demographics) were affected in a mighty way. On the other hand, in Richmond, statues were taken down. I have seen that locally as well. On the other hand, is it better to erect statues for individuals who stood up for improper actions? Arthur Ashe's statue in Richmond is a good example.
