Since we have been in business since 2020 in Franklin County, qualified veterinarians have been hard to find. Once I found a good one, she is spread so thin, that even emergencies have to wait. Therefore, calves have died waiting for professionals to show up. Farmers know some methods to try to save their animals but rely on the professionals when we are out of our league. Please consider shortening the process for veterinarians that have licenses outside of our state that would like to practice in Virginia (within reason).
