Impact on Oversight, Access, and Quality of Care

Introducing additional requirements and bureaucratic processes will not improve the care delivered to needy individuals but will hinder their access to essential services. The existing oversight provided by regulatory bodies, service facilitators, and local CSBs ensures adequate monitoring and supervision. Imposing more forms and administrative burdens will only exacerbate the challenges faced by individuals and families seeking care, further impeding their ability to receive timely and appropriate services. By forcing individuals into agency-directed care, the proposed changes prioritize the financial interests of agencies over the quality, continuity, and satisfaction of care provided. It is essential to reconsider these requirements to ensure that individuals and families can access the necessary services without unnecessary barriers.
