EOR is a nonpaid position - Keep as the Parent when possible!

Opting for a non-live-in Employer of Record (EOR) rather than the other parent can lead to potential conflicts of interest. As the EOR is a nonpaid position, there might be a temptation for a non-live-in relative to prioritize their own personal or professional interests over the child's employment matters. This conflict can create a lack of dedication, impartiality, and focus on the child's best interests. In contrast, the other parent, as the Legally Responsible Individual (LRI) and deeply invested in the child's well-being, has a clear motive to prioritize the child's needs and ensure their success in the workforce. Their commitment is driven by parental responsibility and emotional connection, ensuring that the child's employment-related matters receive the attention and dedication they deserve.
