RGGI Executive Action Opposition

RGGI is an essential component of the resiliency fight.  Any Executive Branch action to undo the thoughtful and very successful action of the General Assembly is misguided.  The proposal to award $200 million of taxpayer funds when RGGI earns far more is nonsensical.  In addition, there is no guarantee that the General Assembly will continue to fund resiliency projects whereas the energy producers must fund RGGI and those projects (at the expense of shareholders) to maintain their business model.  RGGI is a win-win for Virginians. I strongly oppose this proposal by executive order to exit Virginia from the RGGI.
