I am I mother/legal guardian of a 24 year old autistic, non-verbal young man who I care for in our home. He is up for annual renewal now and his case is being pended because we live in the same home? Crazy! Allow parents to take care of their disabled children and keep them at home. Nobody is going to take care of a severely disabled child/adult for the amount of pay that is offered through these waivers. It's hard enough for families like mine to take care of their children/adults and have enough money to take care of the family, please don't make it harder on us.
