By allowing me, the mother of my child, to care for my child, it has lifted so much stress in our lives. Both of children are autistic. Both of children still need assistance feeding themselves, bathing, getting dressed. Neither are potty trained and so as older kids they wear pull ups. At any given moment they will react to a situation by hitting, kicking, biting, screaming uncontrollably , crying, harming themselves or others - mostly a reaction to frustration with communication. Who could I possibly ask to watch them for $12 an hour??? I have to do it. That means I can’t work and take care of them. We need this. Please do not take this away from us.
