I am urgently asking you not to remove or limit Appendix K. For many families and disabled individuals, Appendix K was a lifeline. The burdens these individuals and families go through due to no fault of their own is unimaginable to most. Without them, those burdens would fall directly on the shoulders of the State. The care and service they provide for their loved ones and the money they save the State cannot be overstated. Parents and Spouses shouldn’t have to fight DMAS and the State, both parties should be working together to serve. Removing Appendix K would be an unjust and unprovoked response to one of the few things the government has gotten right lately. Don’t do this. Make Appendix K permanent!
