Several years ago, I lost most of the food from our freezer because of a long power outage. I couldn't cook the meat before it went bad because our electric stove didn't work. My children and I live in an apartment that didn't have a place outdoors where I could grill it.

I couldn't home-school my kids because we couldn't get the classes on the internet. it was so hot, we had to sleep on our small balcony.
