Preserve Religious Freedom in the Commonwealth

Faith-based agencies have the right under federal and state law to make decisions consistent with their religious beliefs.  This right must be respected and protected.  To force faith-based agencies and their personnel to follow a law that goes against their own faith values would be a violation of religious freedom. These agencies have been the source of valuable service to the community for many years.  Many of the birth parents and the prospective adoptive parents that the faith-based agencies serve share similar religious beliefs.  We must continue to protect the conscience rights of the faith-based agencies so that they may provide services to their communities.
