I am astounded at the shallowness and ignorance of many of those invoking Religious Freedom.

Religious Order owned agencies may be faith based and 501-C3's but they are not churches. Pray to whom you like, but Adoption agencies are not  the church, they are non profit businesses run by the faithful WITH TAX REVENUE.

Several commenters want the agencies protected from the government but are not concerned about the children and the need to protect them from the agencies.  This children 'deserve a perfect home' would be laudible if it was not so laughable.  No acknowledgement  is made that many children age out of the system AND those unplaced children are 'warehoused' by Catholic Charites to the tune of an estimated $50,000 a year.

Then there are those that moan that agencies will be forced to follow their doctrine or obey the law.  Well, the point of law is to protect citizens.

Last but not least, are those that don't want the Social Services Board to 'let the government tell them what to do', not even understanding that the board IS the government..
