This effort by the governor is typical of his administration thus far. Appeal to swing voters by claiming to be moderate in his intentions, and then govern from the right in an effort to build a viable, reactionary constituency that will get him national attention in the GOP primaries - which, make no mistake, is his intention.  This proposal is simply laughably stupid, of course. It violates the law - the Gov is not free to ignore law that was passed by his predecessors - and it challenges a perfectly reasonable and modest effort to address climate change for the sake of appearing to be a climate change denier that will score him points with a potential right wing base. It's absurd, illegal, and ideologically motivated- in short, typical of this governor's administration.
