Dear Governor Youngkin and Virginia Legeslators,

As a person of faith, and one who cares greatly about our environment and Virginia, I strongly oppose removing Virginia from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. The RGGI is working well for VA. Power Plant emissions have consistently decreased since joining the Initiative in 2020. Public health has increased, and the Initiative has generated funds for safe, affordable housing, and for funding for flood prevention plans. 

In fact, repeal of Virginia's participation is unlawful. The 2020 law mandates Virginia's participation in the RGGI. You cannot just brush aside laws you disagree with.

Please end your attempt to remove Virginia from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
