Since its inception, RGGI has provided $452 million for low income energy efficiency programs and flood prevention. These funds are helping Virginians statewide. This money comes from those companies that discharge the most pollutants, Dominion Energy being one of the bigger ones but not the only one. If we want a sustainable future for the generations to come, unfortunately we must continue to force public utilities to reduce carbon emissions.
