I don’t mind paying more in energy bills and state taxes to reduce green house gasses. Carbon taxes are the best way to let businesses and consumers determine the most efficient ways to reduce green house gasses. I will vote for candidates that support carbon taxes. The latest issue of the Economist has an article explaining that the cost of merely maintaining coal fire plants is more than the cost of creating new solar or wind power generation based on price per unit of energy. We should be taking advantage of that.
