I am strongly opposed to the proposed withdrawal from the RGGI.  I fear our current governor is motivated by a desire to appeal to conservatives on the national stage and is not looking out for the best interest if Virginians.  In particular, I live in Norfolk near the Chesapeake Bay and fear that by withdrawing we're not only turning our backs on the impact of global warming on our local communities, but we are also cutting ourselves off from a source of funding to help Virginia fight sea level rise.  If we don't do something we could also lose the support of the US Navy and other federal agencies that will also be threatened by rising sea levels.
