Va Should Remain in RGGI

We all need to suck-it-up, and do our part to contribute to cleaner air and a safer environment.  We all contribute to the pollution around us (although, some more than others), so we all need to help clean things up.  The Governor's statements that we need to exit RGGI because it is too large a tax burden on Virginian's is an attempt to wave the political flag-   'mention Reduce Taxes, and you get votes'.  This is NOT an unreasonably burdensome program to remain in.  When compared to many other states, he has no idea what high taxes are.  I remember what it used to be like when driving through Hopewell years ago:  you tried to hold your breath for as long as you could due to the awful stench in the air.  Well, it took some time, effort, regulations, and money, but a drive through Hopewell today isn't like that any longer.  It's not a bad little town to live in, or downwind from.  No one wants to live in a dirty, polluted world.  And so Virginians should expect to have to do their part to make this a better place to live.  Sure it will cost us a little bit;  but the alternative is to do nothing and then we all suffer the consequences.  Our Governor should stop being a politician, and start acting like a Statesman, and do what is best for ALL Virginians.
