While there is a need to be thoughtful regarding the environmental impact we make as citizens, the RGGI is not the method to do it. Other states have different weather patterns, businesses, primary focuses, natural resources, landscapes, challenges, and advantages. To enslave the Commonwealth's direction to representatives from other States who are not a part of the Virginia's legislature is an exercise in lunacy. Furthermore, while there is evidence and a need to adjust the course of action as stewards of the environment, we should not establish / reinforce the fanatical devotion to fear, doubt and uncertainty of our future. Joining the climate crisis clergy of the RGGI is as antithetical to science as the denial that there are thoughtful activities we can take for the future of our world.
