Stay in the RGGI

As a Christian, I believe we have a moral obligation to be stewards of the earth.  It's important because it is our only home, and the more we trash it, the less reliable and resilient the earth is.

Burning of fossil fuels has destabilized our environment. We are experiencing more and stronger storms, more drought, more flooding, more frequent and more costly disasters.  To continue to pretend that we don't have to address this problem is no longer economically feasible.  We need to act now while we can limit the damage to our cities, coastlines, river valleys, farmers, and fishermen.

The RGGI is designed to take advantage of market-based techniques to reduce our CO2 emissions.  That is vitally important to reduce the continued catastrophic climate change.  The Virginia legislature has made our participation in the RGGI the law.  This cannot be simply ignored by fiat from the governor.  It can only be removed by the legislature.
