I am writing today as an animal rights advocate, to say that VDACS needs to strengthen its proposed standards for care in pet shops. There was a leaked video where a counter person was not providing documents on the animals health, which leads to many complications. There is no way to verify what the animal has been through without proper documentations. I am urging you to change what you need to so that these animals are getting proper care and not going through mistreatment. I urge you to partner with the people at PETA for more information, as they will do what is best for animals & make sure they are properly cared for.
