Social Services considering rules that would prohibit discrimation

I just wanted to add my voice to let the Board of Social Services know that LGBT parents can be just as loving as any straight parents, if not more so because of all the effort that must be put into having a child.  With a LGBT couple, it's not as simple as getting pregnant.  You have to really want, and be ready for a child, in order to adopt.

Gay parents can provide the same elements a child needs to have a healthy life as straight parents.

That's why it's so important to prohibit state-licensed child placing agencies from discrimating based on race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability and family status.

Thank  you.
