Do not approve this change

I am writing in opposition to section K that mandates 40% of gross receipts be donated to charity. This foolish change, if approved would force most Veterans Service Organizations to close as the proceeds from the gaming are used by these non-profit organizations to keep their doors open. Our local Post, 25 in Newport News is very active in the community, providing not only a meeting space for veterans, but provides thousands of dollars in scholarships to the local community each year, supports local Public Schools and the community at large. The post also has been a go to place for free assistance in obtaining benefits and other services they need greatly assisting the VA and the State Department of Veterans services. The post has been a pillar of the local community for over a century. Your proposed changes would not only effectively shut down the post and many others throughout the commonwealth, but will weaken society and the local community. I urge you to reject this change.
