On April 20, the State Board of Social Services correctly upheld the fundamental right of faith-based agencies to continue their great work without governmental intrusion into the practice of their faith.

The possibility that many faith based agencies would have to close their doors is a very real threat. To those who mistakingly believe this would benefit children -please RETHINK this.  These children would now be forced to proceed through already overburdened and underfunded state agencies.  Medicaid has been severely reduced and many state agencies are feeling the stretch- adoption and foster care can't be too far behind. 

Continue to allow private agencies to follow current guidelines.
