In support of anti-discriminatory legislation regarding child placement

I have been a resident of Virginia for my entire life. I have known and befriended people of all creeds and backgrounds in this state. I have witnessed first-hand that a loving, secure family that provides for its own has nothing to do with race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability and family status. It has everything to do with the responsible, loving actions among the family members themselves -- actions which are blind to all bias, and known to all of humanity. Sitting down to a meal. Reassuring the nightime monsters away. Giving hugs and encouragement in good times and bad. These actions have nothing to do with demographics and everything to do with fundamental humanity. Please end these myth-based, fear-based, discriminating policies now and allow more happy, healthy families to exist. Added bonus: More displaced children in happy, healthy, loving homes. It's a win-win for everyone.
