All children deserve a loving, forever family.

  • I am a voter living in Northern Virginia.
  • All children deserve a loving, forever family. Currently, there are more than 1,000 children waiting to be adopted in Virginia. A loving home is a loving home and that is what is important.
  • Decisions about prospective parents should be based on the best interest of the child, not on discriminatory factors unrelated to good parenting. If we can improve the life of any orphaned child, don't we have a moral obligation to do so?
  • When agencies act in the stead of the state, they should be bound by principals of non-discrimination even if they are private agencies. Families in the 21st century come in all shapes and sizes and that should not be the end all factor in the adoption process. Children, not politics, must come first!
  • Sexual orientation does not relate to parenting at all. If the family is a stable family with a household that can support a child, then the couple should have just a good a chance as any other couple attempting to adopt.
