ban discrimination, support children

A loving, stable, supportive and secure home should be the goal for the State and any agency that is in the "business" of placing children for foster care or adoption.  None of those characteristics of a good home are determined by race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or marital status.  Therefore, those criteria should not be permitted to factor in to decisions relating to child placement.  Any agency or body using those criteria to discriminate against prospective foster or adoptive parents is serving its own agenda and not acting in the best interests of the children whose needs it may claim to serve.

Please ban discrimination from being a part of our foster and adoption system.  It has no place in our society and certainly not as a bar to any child being given a future in a loving home.
