No Discrimination

If we are going to regulate parenting through discrimination based on; sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, age, religious beliefs, etc. when it comes to adoption or even surrogacy, then shouldn't we in turn, force the unfit, prospective parents (those who have the ability to have their own children) to undergo surgery to keep conception from happening? We cannot withhold the opportunity to become a parent based on discriminating criteria without also governing the procreation of those who can conceive children, but are incapable of even taking care of themselves.

‎1. The best interests of the child should be the sole factor in deciding whether a child should be placed with a prospective foster care or adoptive parent or parents.
2. State-licensed child placing agencies should not be allowed to... discriminate against children or prospective parents based on race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability and family status.

3. The State Board of Social Services should restore to the final rules the protections against such discrimination included in the proposed rules.
