As a Northumberland County resident  living on the Chesapeake Bay, I applaud VDH for finally taking steps to implement nitrogen reduction requirements for AOSS.  Not only is this good for the health of the Bay, it is required by recent EPA agreements. 

A 50% nitrogen reduction can be achieved by any AOSS that is NSF 245 certified.  Several of these systems are already approved for use in Virginia at a reasonable cost.
