Please adopt stricter storm water management requirements

  • Please adopt the strongest septic tank regulations possible.  It is important that we protect waterways from nitrogen and other pollution.  This is not about what is convenient and cost effective for a few, but what will insure clean water for ALL citizens and our children and grandchildren.  I agree with the statements from the Wetlands Watch:
  •
  • We strongly feel the prohibition against putting these systems in wetlands needs to remain.
  • We strongly feel that the required reductions in Nitorgen pollution in the Chesapeake Bay watershed need to remain.
  • We object to the continued allowance of these systems without any dry ground beneath them.
  • We object to allowing septic effluent to go directly into groundwater
