I urge VDH to remove from the Virginia School Health Guidelines the Advocates for Youth Website & any other links that provide content on abortion access, sexuality, gender identity, & other related topics that s/b discussed with parents.  I disapprove of websites that promote campaigns like “Abortion Outloud” & “Free the Pill Youth Council”, offer resources for Abortion Access, & provides animated video series aimed at young kids & talks about issues like abortion, sex, sexuality, & sexual identity which s/b reserved for parents.  I would like to remind VDH they cannot promote materials & resources of a sexual nature that can be shared with a child without parental knowledge.  It is a parents’ right to direct the health & education of their children - after all, our commitment & responsibility is lifelong - the school district’s is only until the age of majority.
