NOT WITH MY TAX DOLLARS - Remove offensive website from proposed Virginia School Health Guidelines

Remove the Advocates for Youth website from the proposed Virginia Department of Health Virginia School Health Guidelines for public schools.

This offensive website – listed in the document’s “Sexual Health” resources section – promotes abortion, a “Free the Pill” campaign, and numerous other items that so many parents, including me, recognize as extremely harmful to children’s health and well-being, and the well-being of the larger community.  Imposing this type of propaganda is exactly why I pulled my children from the public school system in Alexandria.  This site is listed as a “resource” in the proposed guidelines, when in reality it promotes the exact opposite of what our youth should be taught. I am offended by the website and its content.

This is not how I want my tax dollars used.  Remove this highly objectionable, completely unacceptable site from the proposed school health guidelines document.   Teach the children to read and write.  Teach them to add and subtract.  Focus on the basics.
