I am shocked and dismayed at the misguided information contained on the website that links to Advocates for Youth.  The sole purpose of K-12 education and reading, writing, arithmetic and accurate history by and large.  The adults in any school system need to be able to support students from all walks of life but a website such as this, and educators who buy into it, do a grave disservice to the youth.  Children do not have the cognitive ability to understand sexual issues.  Teenagers strive to fit in and may claim to be something they aren't.  Adults who push the LGBTQI movement on students, are abusive.  It is one thing to lend a supportive ear to a youth who approaches an adult for guidance and quite another to have adults forcing their opinions and lifestyles on the youth.  Abortion is intrinsically evil and should not be promoted.  Birth control pills should not be available over the counter as there are many different formulations and a physician should prescribe the correct one for their patient.  Children have parents and their physicians to guide and instruct them.  It is not the business of the school system via the Health Dept. in any way.  Children who truly believe and are at an age where they can fully understand what they are feeling and why can take steps as adults to make lifestyle changes for themselves.  The whole notion of lack of equity, etc. is simply propaganda and needs to stop.  The frontal lobe doesn't fully develop until age 25 and kids make many impulsive decisions they regret and we should be protecting them, not pushing them onward down a road of no return with hormone treatments and surgeries they can't reverse.  Restore K-12 education to being focused on education that teaches what children need to know to be successful adults.   Pushing this agenda is the fastest way to have them fail as adults.  Many children have been bullied and beaten to death by other youth who don't understand because they are not able to and fear what is different, so why do you push this harmful agenda?  It makes no sense and I am tired of my tax dollars being spent to try to normalize abnormal, harmful behavior (gender dysphoria is listed as a mental disorder in the DSMV).  Let children be children.  They can make their own choices in adulthood.
