Remove offensive website from proposed Virginia school health guidelines

As a parent of four children (& now 4 grandchildren) & as a licensed healthcare professional here in Virginia, I urge you to remove the advocates for youth website from the proposed Virginia department of health Virginia school health guidelines for public schools. This offensive website is both insulting & would be the complete opposite of a healthy mind- body! Listed in the documents “ sexual health” resources section promotes abortion which is know to be harmful for mother & child! Various campaigns listed are “ free the pill”, “ abortion out loud”, “ contraception access” & ( cruel irony) “ honest sex education” that even includes an animated video for 10-14 year olds! This is like joe camel propaganda promoting cigarettes! I think most responsible parents recognize how harmful this is to children’s health & well being. Vehicle should be responsible stewards of health rather than promote a rebellion between parents/ children & nature. I also think this could contribute to sex trafficking/ sex abuse/ objectification of people. Just check Virginia department of social services or child protective services. 575 allegations just this year in Virginia, estimated only 1% ever rescued. Reductionism is a byproduct of greedy globalism. Reality trumps ideals. Scott b. Cypher
