No Vaccine Mandates

As a Virginian in college who is discerning a career in education, I am strongly opposed to the idea of a vaccine mandate for all K-12 students, teachers, and school employees with few recourses for exemptions. State and local governments must act for the common good, but I believe that it is against the common good to impose something like this vaccine without any consideration for concerns about the vaccine's newer technology, any conflicts with religious beliefs, etc. Furthermore, if we have a right to personal autonomy, the ability to determine one's own actions for oneself, then a vaccine mandate with few opportunities for exemption is violating one's personal autonomy. For these reasons, I request that the State Board of Health reject any motion towards a vaccine mandate in Virginia's schools. Thank you!
