No Vaccine Mandate in our Schools

I respectfully ask that you do not mandate experimental Covid vaccines on any children or school staff in our public or private schools. If and when these vaccines are approved for use with children under 12, the choice to vaccinate should be left in the hands of parents after consultation with there doctors. The state should play no part in this decision. We do not require flu shots for children when flu  kills far more children each year compared to Covid.  Children are in the lowest risk age category from dying of Covid. Covid cases in our state continue to drop and our hospitals are able to handle the Covid patients that do need treatment. The vast majority of people dying with Covid are over the age of 65.  There is no other way to view a mandate of this type as anything other than pure government over reach.  It’s bad enough we are masking children because the adults are afraid, but forcing an unproven drug on a child in order to receive an education is Coercion and child abuse.  If you proceed with a mandate of this magnitude, you will see a purge of teachers and students in our schools further gutting the budgets of our already struggling schools. I hope you will choose to follow the actual science and realize there is no need for a  Covid vaccine mandate in our schools.
