Patrick Co. D.S.S. has no fraud investigator due to limited funding for the position.  There is not even enough money in the budget now to fund a part-time position.  Up until last summer we had a part time worker who was busy constantly fielding fraud complaints,following up on fraud calls, testifying in court and making numerous home visits and investigations.   I know the position saved countless taxpayer dollars and helped to insure that low income citizens received the benefits they were entitled to receive.

We need this position funded 100% especially for the small counties like Patrick.  The eligibility workers have no time to pursue fraud, therefore many cases of would be fraud slips through the cracks.
