I live in the city and when I travel by bike or foot access through Bank Street is important for me to get safely from Franklin Street or other points west to the train station, the Capital Trail or other points east. Today I rode up Main Street and felt extremely unsafe with autos and trucks aggressively passing too close and fast. There is no reason you cannot find a way to address any other concerns and reopen access through Bank Street for non-motorized passage.
