Bank Street is a critical part of downtown's pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, and to close it would be to cut off a safe connection between 17th Street/the Capital Trail and the Franklin Street bicycle lanes. When riding east from my residence in the Fan, I am forced to ride against traffic on Main Street to access the 17th Street/Capital Trail area, which is unsafe for all involved. PLEASE do the right, logical thing and keep Bank Street open!
