The Capitol Square/Bank Street area is an essential corridor for public and pedestrian movement in downtown Richmond. If we want a vibrant downtown Richmond in the future, people must be able to move through it with relative ease. Restricting Capitol Sq pedestrian hours and making Bank Street impossible to navigate on bicycle adds yet another divide between the east and west ends of our city, and keeps our downtown from being an accessible and dynamic public space.
