Since more than 180 days have passed since the end of the
NOIRA
stage, a Time Frame Waiver must be granted by the Governor's office.
This waiver was requested on 4/24/2014
Agency Reason: Through the periodic review process, this Office of Attorney General identifed a Consitututional issue with the firearms storage provision, impacting not only this regulation but three other Board regulations. OAG inssued advice to Board and DSS on March 6, and it was discussed at the April 17 Board meeting. A decision was made on an acceptable provision for the agency and the regulation will be on the June 18, 2014 Board agenda.
The request was removed from the Gov’s pending list and information about missed time frame deadline will now be included in the agency’s annual report about such events
