Notice of Periodic Review
Pursuant to Executive Order Number 14 (2010), (EO 14) and Sections 2.2-4007 and 2.2-4017 of the Code of Virginia (COV), the Department of Social Services will review this regulation titled General Provisions for Maintaining and Disclosing Confidential Information of Public Assistance, Child Support Enforcement, and Social Services Records, with a VAC citation of 22 VAC 40-910. The purpose of this review is to determine whether the regulation shall be continued without change or be amended or repealed.
The review of this regulation will be guided by the principles listed in EO 14 (http://www.governor.virginia.gov/PolicyOffice/ExecutiveOrders/pdf/EO_14.pdf ) and COV Section 2.2-4007.1 (http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+2.2-4007.1), including ensuring that the regulation: (1) minimizes the economic impact on small businesses in a manner consistent with the stated objectives of applicable law, (2) is necessary for the protection of public health, safety and welfare, and is (3) clearly written and easily understandable.
