Pursuant to Va. Code §§24.2-105. 24.2-418 and 24.2-701, the State Board of Elections is revising forms for registering voters and requesting absentee ballots.  Draft forms are available for review at http://www.sbe.virginia.gov/FormRedesign.html

Public comment is sought on the review of any issue relating to these forms, including whether the form complies with applicable law, is clearly written and easily understandable.

The comment period begins May 1, 2013, and ends on May 15, 2 2013.

 Comments must include the commenter's name and address (physical or email) information in order that the agency may contact the commenter if needed for clarification.  Following the close of the public comment period, a report of the comments received will be presented to the State Board of Elections at a public meeting scheduled for May 22, 2013, at which time the Board will vote on whether to approve the forms and any amendments offered.
