CEP Solar, LLC has provided the Department of Environmental Quality a notice of intent to submit the necessary document for a permit by rule for a small renewable energy project (solar) in Prince Edward County, pursuant to Virginia Regulation 9VAC15-60. Prince Edward Solar Farm will be located on privately owned land approximately six miles south of Farmville, east of Farmville Road/Route 15, and bisected by Rice Creek Road/Route 647. Centroid latitude and longitude coordinates are as follows: 37.184107, -78.395486. The project will have a maximum generating capacity of 25 megawatts alternating current (AC) across approximately 305 acres. The project includes the utilization of approximately 84,375 single-axis trackers that will be a maximum height of 15’.
