On July 26, 2021, DOLI uploaded a guidance document, "Inspection Procedures for the COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard" incorrectly on the Regulatory Town Hall website. The Document was taken down quickly, but an automatic email regarding the document went out that night to registered townhall users which has caused confusion. 

Va. Code 2.2-4002.1 requires that guidance documents be subject to a 30 day comment period, to include public comment through the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall website, after publication in the Virginia Register of Regulations and prior to its effective date. 

This document, "Inspection Procedures for the COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard" will follow this process. The document has now been submitted correctly to the Regulatory Townhall site and will be published in the Virginia Register of Regulations on August 16, 2021. A comment forum will open on Townhall on this day and the comment period will end on September 15, 2021. The planned effective date is September 16, 2021.
