| Purpose of the meeting The bill directs Virginia Energy to convene a work group to determine the appropriateness of adding a surcharge to local government permitting fees to defray state costs for the Platform and to report its findings to the General Assembly on or before November 1, 2026. In addition to this legislative requirement, we plan to address and report on perceived challenges and opportunities with implementation, integration, and deployment of Smart Solar Permitting. | |
